“Mushaboom” is the first single released by indie pop singer Feist from her album Let It Die. It was released November 23, 2004 by Universal International, and is Feist’s second single released in Canada, after “Inside and Out“.
The title comes from Mushaboom, Nova Scotia, a village on Mushaboom Harbour, about 100 km east of Halifax.
Feist performed the song live on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January 2006 and appears on the 2008 compilation album, Northern Songs: Canada’s Best and Brightest.
It also is part of the soundtrack of the movie 500 Days of Summer.

Gert Wilden (born Gert Wychodil; April 15, 1917 – September 10, 2015) was a German film composer. He was born in Mährisch Trübau.[1] From 1956 through his retirement, he scored music for 50 feature films in numerous genres. However, he is perhaps best known for his music for erotic films in the 1970s, especially the Schoolgirl Report (Schulmädchen Report) series.[2]
Wilden was married to former actress and singer Trude Hofmeister. Wilden died on September 10, 2015, aged 98.
